Newtown PA Photographer
I don’t get inquires for pet photography very often, but when I was contacted to photograph the adorable Melvin the Cat, I couldn’t resist. He was a total sweetheart and followed me around the entire time I was trying to photograph him haha. His owner even sat with him for a few shots. Their pet parrot even joined in on the fun! I had a great time getting to photograph this little fury guy.

Boy was he a talkative little bird. Photographing them against the dark green background really made the bird and my subject pop.

Using a window as your main source of light is a great way to add emotion and drama to any image.

Again nothing but simple window light was used to create this image.

Melvin and his owner laid outside together in the warm fall sun.

When Melvin was finished following me around, he found a nice little warm patch of sun to take a little nap in. I used my
Canon 70-200 zoomed all the way into 200mm so I could keep my distance from him and not to disturb his little nap.

Shooting with extremely shallow depth of field allowed me to really focus on Melvin and showcase the beautiful fall foliage.
