The property is host to a number of features such as their classic white gazebo which is situated right next to their large pond. This area is perfect for outdoor photographs and is where all outdoor weddings are hosted. The gazebo provides you and your guests with a gorgeous lake view in almost every direction and most days you can even watch Farmstead’s own white swans swim throughout the pond. I had an amazing time getting to photograph Kate and Ryan’s wedding day at The Farmstead Golf and Country Club. Their bridal party were very helpful, their friends were a blast to be around and both their families were overjoyed to be celebrating the couple’s wedding day. Their decorated the venue for fall which included pumpkins, colorful leaves, brightly lit candles and glistening white christmas lights. Their theme really made the venue shine. The girl’s bridal party dresses were a dark burgundy color, which went well with the fall theme of their wedding day. The men wore dark blue suits and really hip brown dress shoes. Crystal Plaza – Over 30 chandeliers and counting

One of the most engaging visual design elements of the Crystal Plaza wedding venue is their grand ballroom’s numerous chandeliers. This 5000 square foot event room hosts over 30 different sized chandeliers and is actually how the Crystal Plaza got it’s unique name. All of the brides and grooms that I photograph at the Crystal Plaza always request a photograph in this stunning ballroom. Capable of seating up to 400 guests, the grand ballroom is the perfect space for dancing the night away. This glamorous open-style room boasts gold-detailed ceilings with ornate columns along the two story walls, a large round wooden dance floor and beautiful long curtains hung perfectly the room’s large vertical windows. The grand ballroom looks perfect without any additional wedding decor, yet the Crystal Plaza encourages it’s guests to put their own unique touch on this already stunning space. The final touch is the ballroom’s Juliet balcony which overlooks the entire room and is a special highlight for wedding photographs and wedding-bouquet throwing.

Connected to the Crystal Plaza’s grand ballroom is the “living room”. An elegant cocktail area which again, can accommodate up to 400 wedding guests. This mature room features dark hardwood floors, a large open wooden bar, various sized cocktail tables and even a large fireplace so your guests can warm themselves up by a real open fire. The living room also connects to the venue’s indoor-outdoor patio space which is separated by beautiful large glass sliding doors. Upstairs at the Crystal Plaza is a very large, multi-purpose room call The Salon. This space features a mixture of both contemporary and classical decor all combined with dark hardwood flooring and a combination of modern LED lighting and the venue’s signature crystal chandeliers. This location can be used for private corporate events, a lounge for bridal parties, a cocktail hour space for kids during a bar/bat mitzvah and to host wedding after parties.

The center aisle also features large black iron street lamps which were imported directly from Italy. This outdoor space is perfect for spring, summer fall or winter weddings. During spring the flowers are in a fresh bloom, later summer even sunsets are absolutely gorgeous and the exploding colors of fall fill the outdoor space with plenty of amazing views in every direction.
