Hamilton Manor Wedding Venue in Hamilton, New Jersey

The Hamilton Manor in Hamilton Township, New Jersey

Located in Hamilton, New Jersey, The Hamilton Manor is one of central jersey’s most unique old world style wedding venues. Recently renovated in 2009, The Hamilton Manor has been completely transformed into a sprawling banquet facility capable of hosting over 500 guests in their grand ballroom. If you’re looking for a wedding venue in Hamilton Township, then the Hamilton Manor should be high on your list.

The Hamilton Manor is situated on 25 beautifully landscaped wooded acres. Home to such features as a gorgeous outdoor stone gazebo, where many couples get married during the spring, summer, fall and even winter months. This outdoor location can accommodate up to 250 guests so no matter what your religious ceremony, this spot is perfect. As you can see in this gallery, the stone gazebo is an amazing spot for many photo opportunities. For Brianna and Bryce’s wedding, we utilized this location for both their creative bride and groom photographs as well as the formal group photos and some fun bridal party images. Overall, a gazebo like the one at The Hamilton Manor is a great addition to any New Jersey wedding venue.

The Hamilton Manor property also features a separate building called The Rustic Barn. This location is fully covered, fully landscaped and is sure to impress all of your event guests. It’s complete with a gorgeous, generously sized bar and large cathedral ceilings. Many Hamilton Manor weddings choose to use this location for their outdoor cocktail hour since the barn doors can be opened to the stunning patio, giving guests the ability to walk in and out at their leisure. For the men, this outdoor patio is the perfect area to enjoy a drink and a high quality cigar. Utilizing the patio during the warmer months, patrons of the Hamilton Manor can also enjoy a nice outdoor dinner.

Not only can The Hamilton Manor host your wedding at their Rustic Barn or their large Grand Ballroom, but they also offer intimate weddings a separate space of their own. The Lounge is a New York styled environment perfect for upscale private parties looking for something a bit more unique. This room offers sophisticated cocktail hours and plated dinners upon request. With white glove service, the Lounge Room is truly an upscale experience.

About Brianna and Bryce’s New Jersey wedding day:

All of the bridal party started off getting ready at the Marriot Residence Inn in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. I began photographing the girls together in their hotel room. The ladies were having their hair/makeup done and enjoying a few mimosas to celebrate the beautiful couple’s wedding. During this portion of the day, I normally photograph details such as the wedding dress, flowers, shoes and jewelry not to mention capturing many smiles from the super fun bridal party. The boys were one floor down having a party of their own, which made it very easy for me to bounce back and forth between rooms to easily capture as many photographs as I needed. While the girls had their hair and makeup done, the boys enjoy some ice cold beers and a few shots to loosen everyone up before the day was in full swing.

After the boys were finished getting dressed, we took them outside for some group photos. Since the happy couple were not doing a “first look”, we had to utilize our time as efficiently as possible. Whenever the couple chooses to not see each other before their ceremony, it is important to create a detailed schedule in order to accomplish as many photographs as you can earlier in the day. This shortens the amount of photos you have to shoot during cocktail hour, which helps to let the couple enjoy their day. At the hotel, we were able to capture all the group photos I needed of the guys hanging out together. We were even able to grab some really nice formal photographs of all the men with the groom. Since we were shooting around 1PM, we had very harsh overhead lighting. Not the best scenario for outdoor photographs. Luckily this type of lighting isn’t hard to deal with if you know what you’re doing. Keeping your subject between you and the sun is great way to minimize shadows across the face and keep your subject from squinting from the sun’s powerful rays. We also had some nice shade to work with, thanks to some nicely planted trees in the front property of the hotel.

Once we were finished with the outdoor photographs, I headed back up to the girls to finish their getting ready coverage. Brianna took some last minute photos with her and her bridesmaids all wearing some really cute matching wedding robes. Then the bride got into her beautiful wedding dress. Using the hotel’s window, I was able to capture some really beautiful bride portraits using only the diffused ambient light. We all finished up, the girls packed their belongings and we were off to the Hamilton Manor.

Upon arrival at The Hamilton Manor, Hamilton, New Jersey, I immediately starting photographing the girls. We did some really cute creative bridal party photos, took all the group formal photographs of both the girls and guys plus both sides of their families. We seriously got a lot accomplished in a very short amount of time. Shortly after we finished these photos it was time for their wedding ceremony which was held at The Hamilton Manor’s beautiful outdoor gazebo. I quickly photographed the ceremony space and then ran to setup my gear before the officially ceremony began.

About 30 minutes before the start of the wedding ceremony, the guests began to arrive. The bride and groom’s ceremony was nothing short of amazing. The couple had absolutely gorgeous weather. Perfect golden sun was just beaming through the tree line which made for some outstanding photos. During a wedding ceremony, it’s important to capture what you need as quickly and efficiently as possible without being noticed. Since we were outdoors, flash photography was not needed (even though I wouldn’t use it anyway since it’s very obtrusive to be flashing during a ceremony). Using two cameras I was able to create both beautiful wide angles photographs of the ceremony space and close up reactions from everyone including both the bride and groom, plus their guests and bridal party. Here is where the Canon 70-200 f2.8 ii really comes into play. I’m able to capture tons of natural reactions without having to be anywhere near the bride and groom or their guests. Without feeling my presence, this allows everyone to feel at ease and let their natural personalities shine through. There is nothing worse than a cheesy photographer being right on top of you during one of the most important days of your life. You also want to put your camera shutter on silent mode, in order to minimize any noise you may be making during the couple’s wedding ceremony.

After their wedding ceremony at The Hamilton Manor, we finished up with some creative photographs of the bride and groom. Using The Hamilton Manor’s property was a breeze. Everything they offer is professionally landscaped and gorgeous, making my job nice and easy. I was able to only use 30 minutes of the couple’s cocktail hour and get them back inside so they can enjoy some delicious food and drink.

I only had 30 minutes to photograph the Grand Ballroom at The Hamilton Manor but luckily that was all I needed. The ballroom was gorgeous. Large table centerpieces filled with fresh flowers were set on teach table and beautiful uplighting adorned the walls of the venue. The bride and groom’s cake was super cute, their main table gorgeous and their decorations were very cute.

Their reception went off without a single issue. The grand ballroom at The Hamilton Manor is absolutely gigantic, which made moving around a snap. I was able to easily capture tons of great dance shots, speeches, first dances and intros without even a hint of an issue. The happy couple danced the night away surrounded by their very supportive friends and family. Overall, this was an amazing wedding to photograph. The bride and groom were incredibly happy, the bridal party was so helpful throughout the day and both of their families wanted nothing more than to see this beautiful couple have one magical wedding day.

I just want to give a big congratulations to the happy couple and personally thank them for allowing me to be a part of their wedding day. I am so very honored that they chose me to be their wedding photographer.
